Hood Warfare 1 is a real, separate game
Hood Warfare is Steam app 2274510 from Trapstar Games, released on 26 January 2023. Its store still identifies it as Early Access at our 14 October 2026 check. Hood Warfare 2 is a separate Steam app, 5155360, released on 8 October 2026.
The original uses a fictional Detroit setting; the sequel describes Chicago. The US store API showed the original at $4.99 and the sequel at $5.39 with its launch discount. These dated prices are for different products, not an upgrade price or a bundle promise.
What the original listing confirms
The original advertises territory and kill-based modes, three-gang variants, a one-life Gang Warfare mode and round-based Zombies content. It also describes offline bots, online lobbies, reputation unlocks and voice chat. These first-game features must not automatically be attributed to the sequel.
Its older requirements are lighter in some listed components, but the CPU models are not fully specified. The sequel publishes its own requirements and a different attachment system. Use the title shown in Steam and the game menu to decide which advice applies.
Which game should you start with?
Choose based on the particular modes you want and which game your friends own. If Zombies is the attraction, its description is on the original’s listing; our sequel sources do not establish the same mode there. If you want the sequel’s bag, bomb and chain objectives, follow the Hood Warfare 2 mode guides.
We have not verified account, unlock or purchase transfer between the games. Treat them as separate purchases and progressions unless the developer gives a specific transfer statement.
